cà le cerque
country home for holiday rental in le marche, italy
We’d like to invite you and your
family and friends to enjoy a self-catering holiday in our Italian
country home. How much time you spend and what you do with it.. well,
that’s up to you!
Cà le Cerque rests on the peaceful
hillside of Montalto Tarugo between the historic hill town of Urbino and
the Adriatic coastal towns of Fano and Pesaro in the northern part of le Marche
(lay Mar-kay) region of Italy. The house is named Cà le Cerque (Ka lay
Cher-kway) in local
dialect for the oak trees framing the views and welcoming you into the
gardens.
When the house was first built,
more than 300 years ago, it was thoughtfully positioned for the
southerly aspect that provides light all day for the house, garden and
pond. To the north, you can catch breezes and views to the sea by day
and at night you see the twinkling lights along the valley. Looking
south, Monte Catria reigns beyond the olives trees along the fence line.
Mature elms, pines, mulberry and
cherry trees generously shade the garden during summer while scattered
rose bushes and fruit trees soak up the sunshine. You'll wake each
morning to a garden full of birds chirping as they fly amongst the
bushes and trees.
Kids love to play in the large
grassed areas while those a bit older opt for quieter moments stretched
out on the lounges in the sunshine or under the oak or cherry trees.
The property is surrounded by
farmland, olive groves and vineyards and you'll see our neighboring
farmers tending their crops throughout your stay. Your children will
see goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys on the
hillsides and nearby farms.
We think you'll find that Cà le
Cerque provides a holiday retreat that is serene and away-from-it-all
for lazy days in the garden while close to hill towns, beaches and
mountains for more active days. |
